Art and Discipline
Pine Forest is not just for children who want to pursue a future in the arts, but for children who want to have their life enriched by talent. The creative processes of art teach children to think creatively, work hard, and perfect their skills. Art is a place for young minds to learn how to study something inside and out, and grasp it. Art feeds the soul, but is also the key component to growing a well-rounded child.

Art Enriching Academics
All students enrolled at Pine Forest (Grades Kindergarten-5th Grade) receive a minimum of 45 minutes a day of Arts Instruction in one of our five arts areas: Dance, Music, Strings, Theatre, or Visual Arts. Students also participate in Arts Enrichment Class where art is combined with academics to help present new ideas in a creative way, and to teach students how the arts can be used as a tool to learn complex ideas.

Advanced Arts Areas
In Grades 4 and 5, students have the opportunity to ‘audition’ for an Advanced Arts area at the beginning of the school year. Once students’ Advanced Arts Areas are determined based on their auditions, they receive an additional day of class with their Advanced Arts teacher throughout our 7-day Arts Rotation Cycle. Having the opportunity to receive an additional day of instruction in their Advanced Arts area, this means that our 4th and 5th Grade students receive 110 minutes on average each school week–during the school day–continuing to study and grow in their arts area.
